'Gangnam' is one of the most affluent areas of Seoul and is located in the South-East of the city. It is served by Seoul Subway Line 2, Line 3 and Sin Bundang Line. Several popular shopping and entertainment areas are located in Gangnam including Apgujong, the COEX Mall as well.
- Shopping
'Gangnam' means south of the river, and represents the newer parts of Seoul.
The stores and arcades in the area tend to be wider, newer and cleaner than North of the River, attracts a younger crowd. Heaps of stores, restaurants, cafes, Jewelry, cosmetics and so on.
- Nightlife
'Gangnam' forms the entryway to Tehran-Ro, where Korea's concentration of high technology firms and Internet startups. Many workers from there can easily come here after work and hangout with friends.
Several movie theaters, many bars caater to the crowds. At night, many of the beer halls and clubs stay open until 5:00 am or 24 hours.
